Sounds just like what mine did (and plenty of others) the Asain carb is a nightmare, I tried for ages to get it right again but failed. The best option is to replace it, I wish I had done it sooner. if the distributer cap is removed the engine will start but only run on manybe one or to cylinders

How does that work then ??????

I think your right :oops: I have had the same SJ410 for over 10 years now.
