Re: 2001 Jimny Auto (Santana) - Transmission Failure/Problems
A quick google points to a torque converter clutch solenoid issue for P0741. But if you can get a complete list of all codes.

Sounds technical. Where are you located?
Ideally need a full list of codes.
I have just had a boat load of work done on a different vehicle showing various codes and most of that was just down to wiring and sensors.

Re: HELP!! No brake pedal after rear disc conv.
Its a simple job. Just need the drum handbrake and cable from another SJ. Bolt on swap. Its a half hour job.
Or aftermarket options are available from a few places. Some aren’t as good as the hype though. I have an x-eng disc transmission handbrake, it’s crap.

Standard aisin calipers off a Japanese SJ i think.
If not already fitted you may need to swap to a transmission handbrake.

Re: 1987 sj410 xud engine and coil springs
Other than being a dirty diesel i’m looking forward to seeing the build.
Based on the fabrication work on the other SJ i expect this to be just as impressive.

Presuming drain plugs are magnetic?
Also depends what model. Some have a standard looking hex bolt drain plug. Others have a flush fit drain plug with a square 3/8 (ish) female head.

Re: Help to restore my LJ80 2 Q
Depending on how long its been sat and the condition when parked up it could be seized bearings or seized diff stopping it rolling. I don’t know of any member who would be prepared to take it on as a restoration but if you add your rough location some members may be prepared to give a couple of hour...

Re: Help to restore my LJ80 2 Q
Hi, sounds like a good little project. Nothing I am remotely interested in doing though sadly. Might be worth adding a rough location to your post so people know where you are or if you a prepared to have it transported somewhere. They are fairly easy to work on yourself. Many parts are still availa...
