Re: Twiss' LWB Build
Although it has a few major issues the main thing is the body looks very sound, will look forward to reading how the rebuild goes, seems a bargain price as well.

Just got another 12 months MOT on the old Vitara............
The old V6 Vitara went in for the MOT this morning, must admit i was expecting it too fail, but it came through and the only comment was a slight bit of corrosion on the near side rear wheel arch. Once i found out it had passed,i also got the guy to do a complete oil and filter change as the oil was a...

Re: Getting used to my Vitara
The tyre pressures on the Vitara are critical,i run mine at the factory suggested 23psi all round and that is even with the 2ltr V6,i did try a higher setting but the Vit was all over the road,it hated it,but as soon as they had 23psi in it grips very well. On my old Izusu Trooper i found it run bet...

That looks rather nice with that hardtop on,just proves you dont need big bucks to make it look a tidy motor.

Re: Anybody had insurance at 17?
Blimey £3-6k for insurance for a SJ,lucky that i am at the cheapest end of the spectrum with full no claims bonus and my V6 Vitara costs under £200 and i thought that i had got done, but i do also have break down cover as well,so no so bad i guess.

Re: Help with mods for a newbie to this.
Welcome to the forum, the X90 does look like it has potential and infact i rather like the styling of them, the jury is still out about the colour though, not sure if the X90 was 4 or 2WD or both option,if yours is the 4WD option then you dont need to worry. Good luck with the new truck and keep us upd...

Re: Vitara X-EC 16v
They usually had LSDs in the rear diff ;) that alone fetches silly money, I would check before selling it that cheap! Scottie,do all the LWB Vitara of that era have LSD ?? mine is the same but 1998 V6 but in the handbook it does not mention about have a LSD or was it just on the X-EC which i assume...
