Decisions paint or 2k
In the years I've had the Sj I've slowly added bits to it and took short cuts with painting to tidy up the look, but the jet washing has took it's tole on my roll cage wheels and body work and was starting to look very tatty. My wheels was chrome so I've got all the old paint off keyed em up the bes...

Re: towing and transfer boxes
Lol if your towing with all four wheels on the ground then can't see it being any different to driving like said t box 2 high and gearbox in neutral. All this towing is a big grey area. I was under the understanding that an A frame is totally ellegal now because not only the fact it's not braked but...

Re: Lockrite
No I think your right anton. My post was wrong in the sense it's the front sammy axles that are different. I think I'm gonna give the lockrite a go. Like I say I don't use my Sj that often so it should last a while lol.

Re: Prop spacer needed
Shackles could be it then. I've got rascal rears and ruf but prop is ok. It's a little out more than standard but not enough to need a spacer.

Re: Prop spacer needed
Apart from ruf is that all ? If so I find that weird cos I've gone ruf and moved my axle forward and I've not needed a prop spacer.

Re: Lockrite
I've heard in the past that the early model sammy runs different diffs to the later ones. Something to do with the side gears, and the early ones being stronger and needing a 4 pin locker rather than a 2 pin. I know the side gears are interchangeable from the old to the new as the diff casings are t...

Lockrite
If I fit a lockrite locker in the rear diff is it a case of stripping the diff fitting the locker and putting back together or would the diff have to be set up for backlash etc ??

Re: Green lane nail traps....
It's the culture we live in! I spent many years on bikes. Two wheels and an engine I was in my element. I've been all over the country green laning on bikes. Wales as some of you know has some extreme lanes and I've been and done all of em on many occasions, sometimes on a normal run of the mill end...

Re: Green lane nail traps....
We've come across lengths of 4x2 with nails along it down my way in hertfordshire. When we used to do the lanes on enduro bikes years ago someone was badly hurt whe they was garrotted by a wire bond that was stretched across the lane. I've also been threated to be shot with a shot gun whiles enterin...

Re: waffle boards on a vitara
I've had a set for 3 years and I've never used em or been in a situation where I needed em.
