steering rebuild kit

Post by djc » Thu Oct 08, 2015 1:20 pm

I've seen this mentioned here before but can't find it. The guy in Mumbai offering this kit for about £70 shipped:

Here's the eBay link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301325684915? ... EBIDX%3AIT

Thing is, what are the odds of that lot fitting a 91 sami (Spanish)?? I know I need inner seals and prob kingpin bearings etc, but once I get inside there could be more. Any users of this kit please advise - I assume it is current Maruti?

Scottie will probably know for sure as his dad has a Maruti, but I'm 99.985% sure that there's no difference between a Maruti axle and the rest of the world's SJ axles.

by the way I think I can get these a lot cheaper than that.... the hub kits with the felts, metal semi-circle things, and the axle oil seals are about £13 here

I wouldn't worry too much, the bearings that aren't in Twiss's kit are worth the money you've paid. You've pretty much got everything else free.
