Rear brakes proprortioning valve leaking

Post by Charlesb » Tue Nov 24, 2015 6:55 pm

I have a standard SJ413 with rear drums, and the valve is leaking badly. If I remove it, how much does it affect the braking - that's assuming it was working before anyway! I've looked for a replacement, and can't find one anywhere.

Is it this one? I got this from the main dealers a few years ago, but it was £130

Yes, that's the one. I don't think my old SJ goes fast enough or brakes quick enough for it to do much.. Thought I would just by-pass it.

Just an update - we bypassed the old valve, and, having run it for a month, we can't tell the difference. ;)
