Yes that's an LJ80 in one form or another.

They seem to be popular as drag vehicles...espiecially in Puerto Rico

That might have been an LJ once upon a time. Me likeee, I'm not one of these people who thinks that all rare cars should be restored to original and shiney.

I think that you should make your car just as awesome as you want. And that's awesome.

The reason you see LJ and SJ drag racers so much is because they're cheap, light and have a decent size engine bay and ladder chassis, making it easy to mount a whacking great engine, gearbox and rear axle.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.
