Hi, if I disconnect the battery on a SX4 will the radio require a code as I cant find one in the Suzuki wallet?

Depends on if the anti theft function is set. Your handbook should describe this function. I do have a few years handbooks on pdf if yours is missing.

Are you the original owner? some radios have factory codes already, some don't. If not the first owner the previous owner may or may not have chosen a code.

Contact your dealer to find out what you had set up as original equipment.

If you disconnect and run into problems and code 0000 doesn't reset then it's off to Suzuki or a specialised auto audio code service, all pricey.

You could always run a trickle charge to the Pos & Neg cables to keep the radio 'alive' whilst then disconnecting/removing the battery to work on your car.

THERE IS A SOLUTION TO THIS. I had the same problem today on my Suzuki 2008 SX4 model. This solution may also work for other models. THIS ACTUALLY WORKS - BUT YOU NEED ABOUT AN HOUR TO COMPLETE IT
Turn the car ignition on , then hold the Radio Power button and the Track Up button down at the same time AND HOLD IT THERE FOR 30 - 60 MINUTES. The radio display will eventually flash CODE ---- This is an invitation to enter a new code. I entered 1111. And bingo the radio started working again! The new unlock code is now 1111
I know it's a long time to hold buttons down but I achieved the holding of the buttons by jamming a stick between the passenger car seat and the button to keep it down whilst driving the car!
