Anyone got recommendations regarding the best chemical rust removers available on the market for brushing onto the underside of an SJ as part of the prep work before applying underseal?

I've started using vactan

Seems to get good reviews and for cost to volume its a bargain.

But I've not been using it long enough to see if the treatment lasts.

EBay, its a commercial product so just has a chemical lable.
Worth looking into. Seems to get approval on retro rides and autoshite

And for nuts and bolts and other small stuff...citric acid.

I like to use poly abrasive discs and brass wire wheel attachments for a drill and grinder on cars.....if you go on the norton abrasives website they after a free sample of their rapid strip disc, last for ages and works super well.

On cars I prefer to clean it up back to shiny metal.

On the boat I've been using vactan, seems to work really well, even left for months without over coating. There's just too much surface area on that to strip it all back manually.

Yeah, I generally use wire wheels and poly discs too, or sanding discs when there's just too much to go through.

But a friend of mine wants a quick and dirty way to deal with light surface rust in the nooks and crannies under his SJ.

I've used vinegar in the past and it worked well...
