liking the look of the arches and truck cab, coming along nicely :)

one thing tho.... take the old ARb off... Will help with flex no end :robot:

With out the anti roll how is handling and MOT affected?

Thanks for all the kind words chaps. I'm home tonight so i'm gonna go have a look at mounting the petrol tank. Been trying to do this for weeks now. I just keep picking it up and going "yup, it'll look spot on there" with no idea how i'm gonna fix it "there".

I may try and fab up a roll bar and sit it in the middle between the struts. I'm just not sure where to fix the roll bar to.

The good news is the few miles between Darlington and Aycliffe is "reasonable" to travel for an MOT, despite having a fast fit centre on my door step (literally 500yds).

Lets face it, would you trust a fast fit centre with your Zuk? (not sure if i have to apologise in advance for all the people i've offended there).

8 weeks to frickley, gona book MOT for June 12 me thinks. so thats 6 weeks to MOT.

Don't know what all the fuss is about, if i'd of had a big enough drill and some bolts it would be fitted now. I've just welded some box section in to make a frame. All i need to do now is cut some small squares of plate and drill 13mm holes in them. These will be welded on the inside of the rails at dodgy angles to match the shape of the petrol tank and bingo!

I've also decided how the exhaust will go and sussed out where to mount the lights and number plate at the same time.

The round tube sticking up will be for the silencer to mount to, and once again with the small plate to make brackets for the lights to bolt to and either a square or rectangular number plate in the gap between.

Hopefully they will be out of harms ways, but as we all know "it just happened" happens.

Given I only got home at 8 last night its been another weekend of high octance fabrication and modification, ish.

The fuel tank is now mounted and everything from the back of the cab, back has been given a quick coat of red oxide to keep the tin worm out. I also set about wiring in the back lights, only to do it completely wrong and then undo it all again.

It's coming along nicely, although I may have to get an assistant to get it all done for MOT. I only realised this week I have no indicators / sidelights to go on the front of it, so it might be a trip to a scrap yard, or to my local truck accessory shop (not exactly local, it's at Rotherham but I go by most days).

Despite the front of it all just being positioned in place I like this photo because it looks almost done (i will be taking all the front back off to give it all a coat of primer and stone chip.

Ok, been a busy day today. Again. I've finally wired the back lights in properly and bolted them in place. I thought the relay for the drivers indicator was u/s but luckily it turned out just to be a short. I know there is no reverse light. I have 2 small work lamps to go on but just haven't quite decided where.

I've also tacked my roof strip in place. I had a gap in the roof line where i'd joined it. I was going to weld it from the outside but to try and make a neater job of it i've tacked a strip all the way across and think i'll give it a nice run of seam sealer on the outside and smear it in silicone on the inside.

On both sides i've also plated the area where what was the back window meets. It's tidied it up a lot and is slowly getting up to a hopeful MOT standard. This also wants a run of seam sealer round it. Prior to plating it i painted the recess behind it in red oxide, thickly.
