Samurai - Upgrade to Alternator Bracket

I am intending to upgrade the existing Alternator with an 80 amp version.
Bracket will require modification to ensure a fit.
Plan to remove one leg and move it inwards allowing some tolerance in dimensions.
Anyone had to do similar? All comments welcome. Thanks.
