Thank-you, for giving us all a heads up on Lyme's.

Being a regular walker through tall grass in local fields I was unaware of the risks, I'm going to ditch the shorts and order a O'Tom Tick Twister set for my backpack.

Anton its not just lymes mate, my daughter has all the symptoms an illness called pots. Their is a test for it that takes 30-40 mins, my daughter was on it for 2 mins and that is all the time the nhs allocate for it. So,according to them it's a rear illness.
I just hope you get sorted out as what I've read up about lymes, it's not pleasant. And don't forget there is an LJ with your name on to drive

I am staggered by that Anton, truly am. I think I must be lucky, I have no GP, I see the diabetic nurse instead and she is brilliant. And refers me to whoever I need to see.

But this Lyme disease is unreal. How can a lowly GP who probably knows less about the disease than you do ignore facts from specialists?

Shit matey I hope you recover from all this, and soon. If you need any SJ help just give me a call. Or any help come to think of it!

Never read it all Anton but got the general idea.

I hope you get some joy with the treatment. Whilst i don't understand the disease or know much about it, i do know how much it knocks you six.

Fingers crossed you get sorted and can come meet up again at some point!

Thanks guys!

Assuming I can make a bit more progress, I hope that I can make it to the next meet. With the SJ, ideally!

Ok. Today was a bit of a disaster.

I've been hospitalised a couple of times in the last 2 weeks, and not feeling great. Today I tried moving the SJ because I need to SORN it, so put another battery on it and got it to start. Put it in 1st, and instead of pulling off, there's a GODAWFUL crunching, banging sound coming out of the back end. The diff is as dead as David Cameron's political career.

Ok...

Gonna get it towed. The suspension has sagged and now the drag link is pressing on the leaf springs. Then we notice she's dripping water...

The thermostat housing in the intake manifold is cracked right down the side.

Get her 2 mins down the road onto someone's driveway and she smells cooked. Just a few mins of running and we look underneath and the diff is splashed with engine oil. There's oil all over the alternator.

She was fine when I parked her up, now she's completely b0rked.

She's on the friend's driveway, but her family aren't happy about it. Not sure where to go from here. I don't know if I'm ever going to be well enough to fix her again, even if I have the parts (don't have a new rockwatt manifold, but I know a guy who can TIG aly). So this may be the end of the road for SJ and me.

:bawling:

That is bloody awful news. Maybe it's time to part with the SJ and just concentrate on getting well. Then, further down the line a new and fit Anton can go get another one.
