For the diesel heads...

Was at the pull today. Sadly the tractor we took down had clutch problems, and although we did get it on the track and on the sledge it just wouldnt have it

However the winner of the super farm (my class) was a ford 9600. The super farms rev to 3000RPM.

The winner of the next class (pro stock) was "redline frenzy".
These tractors rev up to 6000 rpm and are fueld but a diesel and water mix.

It's been years since i've been to watch some tractor pulling, my dad used to take me to watch them all the time when I was a wee lad post some pics of your tractor Henry!

Its a great sport but mine is nothing like that. We have just put a steel clutch in it, and it isnt quite right.

Although they are not mine, they are my step brothers and i do a lot of work with him on them, and drive them too

This is the propper one (the unnamed major) Possible names are "hopes hang hi" Or "the pussy puller"

Has a 360T ford cargo engine in it. The head is of a 380 ford cargo and is fire rung. It has a massive pump on it pumping in 69cc of fuel per revolution where the standard pump when opened right out only pumps in 9cc of fuel per revolution. other modifications include a turbo of an daf lorry, gear lockers, wheely bars, solid rear wheel centers ect. Lots more little things too.

I did manage to catch a few pictures of it trying to get going, but the clutch wasnt having it.








The other one is tigger... a gentel beast that is very "agricultural"
She has the older ford engine in it. This has the standard pump on it (so is only getting 9cc of fuel) and a smaller turbo. This is the sort of tractor that will pull all day long, not over heat and you can start without a whiff of easy start and about 10 mins trying to get it to run sweet.
She pulls well but is a long way of competition standard. We plan to leave her be with just a respray, she can be used on the road (she does about 35 ) and for fun.
